The last result is in. Whew. It’s a pass!

This is it! I have officially passed all divisions of the ARE examination process. Whew! What a big relief!

I have been anxious about this day, this moment actually, for over one week now. Yes, only one week. Some would say that they have been anxious about this very same moment for years. However, that just is not me. In order to get to where I am today, I could not allow myself to daydream, to think ahead… That would be too distracting. I really just had to focus on one task at a time, one exam at a time, and this is probably why I am able to sit here today and type in these words: I AM A LICENSED ARCHITECT!

But before I elaborate on the path I had taken to be able to utter the words above, I would like to say a big thank you to those on the arecoach.com forum who have taken the time to critique my vignettes, as well as those who have shared study materials and overall knowledge about this process, especially Jenny for the study notes and sbyrktct for the alternate vignettes. You are all very much appreciated! This is my way of returning the love and, hopefully, helping others who are just jumping on the ARE exams bandwagon! So please do not hesitate to ask any questions. I would be more than happy to help.

Finally, as a way to clarify the format of the blog, I told my story in chronological order, from my struggles to break a cycle of fear to the final pass. Unfortunately, and as you know, blogs are not meant to tell a story of the past to the present, but to relay what’s happening today. So my posts are listed backwards, from my final pass to the beginning stages of testing, which may make it a bit difficult to follow. Any thoughts on how to improve one’s experience of reading this blog are much appreciated.

Thank you for stopping by!
